San Stefanos
San Stefanos, Aghios Stefanos or Agios Stefanos, is situated in a beautiful natural setting on the island's North-West coast. Set against a backdrop of hills and greenery it is a quiet but friendly resort with a horseshoe shaped bay surrounded by a long, sandy beach. It is a former fishing village. Still unspoilt, the village successfully blends its summer visitors with local Greek life, ensuring an atmosphere of relaxation and quiet conviviality.
Avliotes
The village of Avliotes is located 3 Km Northeast to Agios Stefanos . It is about a small village with a population of 1600 inhabitants, built on the hillside over the bay of Agios Stefanos. Take a little time to explore the village and you will be rewarded with some of the most spectacular scenery offered from the top of the hill where the main church of "Taxiarhon" is located .
From there you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Diapontia Islets : Othonos (7 n.mi.), Erikoussa and Mathraki and Albania opposite. These three islands, which cover a total area of 18 sq. km., form Greece's northwest border in the Ionian. Though sparsely populated, they abound in fresh fish and aromatic grapes . Caiques from Agios Stefanos port offer day-long excursions to the Diapontia Islets : Othonos(7 n.mi.), Erikoussa and Mathraki
Sidari
Sidari is the most famous tourist resort of north Corfu and one of the places that every visitor of the island have to see. It is found in distance 32 km away from Corfu town. It has acquired world reputation, which it owes in famous "Canal d' Amour". It is an infrequent natural phenomenon. It is an underground path between two rocks that the visitor can easily walk to, due to shallow waters. This point is recommended for diving. There are many caves under the canal. Sidari beach has been awarded with the Blue Flag.
The beach is really wonderful. The white carven rocks that look like natural sculptures and the light blue waters compose an exotic view. Except, from the Canal d' Amour, in Sidari you will also swim in the small coves that take shape between the rocks and give the sense of private beach. This is one from the first regions of Corfu that developed their tourist infrastructures. Nowardays, in the region function hotels and rented rooms. There are many choice for entertainment. Every summer over than 5.000 tourists are visiting Sidari and most of them are British.
